EMPATHY is a govt. registered, non – profit, non religious, non political social welfare organisation of Kolkata, formed by Ms. Rajyasree Bandyopadhyay in 2002. It focuses on quality work & has been serving the community for two decades.

The main objective of the organisation is to work for ‘public awareness’ through various effective programmes on

1. Health- with special emphasis on mental health
2. Education
3. Culture

EMPATHY serves children, adolescents, youth, women & geriatric population at all levels of the society. It has focussed on outdoor activities viz: seminars, street corner meetings, training programmes for social workers, pamphlet distribution, clothes, book distribution, group counselling services, family counselling, couple counselling , individual counselling, online counselling, food distribution, health camps etc.

Till 2022, it has worked on 04 major areas :

• SEBA ( Serving the community during natural calamity or any emergency situation).
• NESHAR BISH ( Helping the youth to quit drugs through counselling & various programmes ).
• ESHO KORI LEKHA PORA ( Assessing children’s Intelligence level, counselling the parents regarding allowing their wards to pursue study as per merit & ability, motivating the children to love studies , books & stationary distribution etc).
• SUSTHYO THAKO ( Comprising various programmes on physical & mental health).

EMPATHY believes in team work & welcomes genuine volunteers , who would love to offer free services in it’s events. Students offering free services are awarded certificates for their Internships. The organisation requests kind donors to donate generously for our charitable projects.
